In case somehow your local emergency management people don't know about
this, you can use it as an excuse to contact them.

The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) is
conducting a survey to assist FEMA and the President's Council on Year 2000
Conversion. Questions include community issues like:
o The extent of operational readiness of local jurisdictions
o Availability of emergency preparedness guidance, information, or
assistance in order to meet your community's needs for Y2K
preparedness.
I believe they're going to have to get educated and involved to answer
these, and it may help the total community. So go get 'em!
