Citizen Reflective Councils

(a.k.a. Citizen Deliberative Councils)

 

 

For most purposes and most people, the terms "citizen deliberative council" and "citizen reflective council" refer to the same category of democratic innovation, whose characteristics can be briefly summarized in the following definition:

a temporary council of one-to-five dozen typical citizens convened to consider public concerns in order to raise the quality of public dialogue and provide specific guidance for public officials and the citizenry.
